Free Realms Go Live Today

Sony has announced that their upcoming MMO Free Realms will be launched today, following an extremely short open beta period. Well, probably it all went flawlessly and the company decided that there’s no point in wasting time testing a perfect product…

Strange enough, the announcement was made on the official website with some hidden text nobody would’ve guessed it’s there, which probably means that they didn’t want to make too much fuss about the whole deal. Strange are the ways of the Free Realms…

Either way, it’s worth noting that this is the first free-to-play MMORPG released by Sony and it is aimed at the more casual demographic, but only time will tell if it has the power to survive the other ton of similar games already available on the market.

The start of Free Realms is clearly not the most grandiose one, but at least those who participated in the brief beta tests will receive a free, special in-game item.
