Wiikly Update: Sandy Beach and Kirby’s Dream Land 3

Following an impressive 2008 for Nintendo, the company seems to need a rest so we’re only seeing two new titles made available for download this week from the Wii Shop Channel: Sandy Beach and Kirby’s Dream Land 3, one WiiWare and one Virtual Console game. So let’s find out a few details about these games!

Sandy Beach is a game by Konami which can be purchased for 500 Wii Points. That if you enjoy sunny weather and building sand castles: you can either work peacefully on your castle or enter the Crab Battle mode and battle with invading crabs and discover treasures, cannons to defend your castle and more! A good game for the lousy weather we have outside!

The Virtual Console gets Kirby’s Dream Land 3 this week, a SNES original which can be purchased for 800 Wii Points. Kirby, Dream Land’s resident hero (and everyone’s favorite puffball), must once again save the day when the mischievous King Dedede starts causing trouble. Kirby must travel through an assortment of levels, battling an exotic array of enemies (both new and familiar) determined to stop him from completing his mission. Always armed with his trusty ability to swallow enemies and gain special attacks, Kirby can also unite with some of his animal friends and make use of their particular talents. A true classic both youngsters and experienced gamers will enjoy!
