soap-codThere might be a few people (out of the millions that purchased Modern Warfare 2) who would like to see a Call of Duty-based movie. For them, the dream might come true sooner or later as the New York Post announces, via Scottish actor Kevin McKidd.

McKidd provided the voice acting for Soap MacTavish in the game, so he’s not just some guy who wants some coverage on computer-games related websites.

“They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood, they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me,” he said. “I had no idea [Modern Warfare] would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film.” Asked if he would like to play Soap himself, he joked, “if the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available, then absolutely.”

Personally, I don’t know how impressive a Modern Warfare 2 (or, better said, Call of Duty) movie could be, but there are a few obvious things: a) Uwe Boll should not direct it; and b) the airport scene should certainly be omitted. Except for that… go ahead, do it!
