Uwe Boll: An Award Winning Director

Uwe Boll: An Award Winning Director

Let’s face it: gamers simply hate Uwe Boll for taking their favorite games and flushing them down Hollywood’s toilet, while objective movie reviewers simply consider that his movies “suck”, despite having big budgets and usually some pretty decent actors signed. Well, the people might change their mind this year, since Boll will become an award-winning director. Uhm… kind of.

The fact is that he will indeed win at least one prize this year (although he is nominated in five more categories) – but not at the Oscars or other similar awards. Instead, our dear Uwe Boll will grab his prizes at the Golden Raspberry Awards – yearly awards signaling the worst of the worst in the movies industry.

With his In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, the German director is nominated in five categories: Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor, and Worst Supporting Actress (the winners will not be announced until February 21).

However, Uwe can do much worse than that and the people handing the awards noticed that: according to GameSpot, the game-killer is the winner of the Worst Career Achievement award, an incredibly rare dishonor which was last given out in 1987! Yep, it’s that bad… unfortunately, not even these awards, nor other fan complaints will stop Uwe making movies and thus destroying our beloved video games
