titanfall beta impressions 1Titanfall’s release in the UK has seen a surge of sales for the Xbox One, with a sales rise of 96% for the console compared to last week.

The £399.99 Titanfall hardware bundle (which came complete with download code for the game) accounted for 70% of Xbox One’s hardware sales, according to Chart Track.

Coming in first place in the UK All Formats Charts, the high sales figures means that Titanfall is this year’s biggest selling game so far, doubling the sales figures of previous holder, FIFA 14. The Xbox 360 version of the game is due for release in the UK on March 28th.

Elsewhere in the UK Charts, Dark Souls 2 enters in second, and manages to beat the first-week sales of its predecessor by 20%.

South Park: The Stick of Truth drops down to third this week, following its debut last week. The LEGO Movie Videogame is able to hold on to fourth spot.

Thief drops three places to fifth whilst FIFA 14 is in sixth, its first time outside the top five since its launch.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is in seventh this week, whilst Call of Duty: Ghosts drops down to eighth.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is in ninth, as Battlefield 4 rounds off the Top 10 this week.

Outside the Top 10 sees Yoshi’s New Island make its debut in 12th, making it the third strongest week 1 for a Yoshi game behind Yoshi’s Island DS and Yoshi’s Story 64.

The UK All Formats Chart Top 10 (Week ending 15th March 2014) is as follows:
