DestinyDestiny has rocketed to the top of the UK All Formats Chart, becoming the UK’s biggest selling new IP in the process.

The game displaces previous holder of the record, Watch Dogs, as the figures showed a 46% share for the PS4 (including hardware sales), 36% for Xbox One, 14% on Xbox 360 and 4% for PS3, according to Chart Track, showing a 50/50 split across Xbox and PlayStation. Bear in mind that only physical sales are counted in the charts.

This record comes after Activision announced last week they had sold in $500 million worth of stock to retailers and first parties.

The Sims 4 drops down a place to second, and despite a sales boost of 29%, Watch Dogs slips down to third.

Call of Duty: Ghosts climbs up to fourth this week as The Last of Us: Remastered finds itself in fifth place.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 edition is in sixth spot this week as we have a new entry in at seventh, NHL 15, which sees a much better launch position than its’ predecessor, NHL 14, which entered in 11th last year.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and Minecraft: PS3 Edition are both non-movers at eighth and ninth, respectively as the Top 10 is rounded off with new entry Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution.
