The YS Series Goes MMO

One of the most appreciated Japanese RPG series, the YS series originally developed by Falcom will be upgraded to meet today’s standards and a new title will be released to the delight of fans all over the world – a massively multiplayer online game this time delivering manga visuals and free to play modes.

Named YS Online – Call of Solum, the game challenges you to join a story that started 22 years ago and defeat the hordes of evil creatures invading the mystical Romune Empire, from seaport Lutino to Peruzard. You won’t be alone to follow the steps of Grey the Brave Hero and many battles await you.

A Closed Beta stage of the new MMO will kick off this month and shortly after, the open beta will probably commence. YS Online – Call of Solum is scheduled to be released by the end of the year and it remains to see if the old YS series still has some power left to challenge the crowded world of free MMOs.
