Today’s top flash game was The Last Stand Union City and I kept on playing it all the way to the end without even stopping to take a sip of water (it’s that addictive, yes!). After my complete playthrough experience with The Last Stand Union City, I have decided to share with you a bunch of tips and tricks that you will hopefully find helpful enough and will drive your game forward. So read on for my own list of The Last Stand Union City tips and tricks!

1. Save often – that’s the first thing you should have in mind. If you save often, in case that your character dies, you will be able to reload without the XP penalty that you’d get otherwise!

2. Explore everything – it is vital to keep exploring all the areas in the game, it’s the only way you’ll get enough supplies for your to make it to the end!

3. Fight hordes of zombies in the streets – probably the most annoying part of The Last Stand Union City (or better said, the most difficult), is fighting against the zombie hordes. This should be done preferably in the streets to have enough space for running or at least in houses with long corridors. In tight spaces, you’re done. But if you have more “screens” to go through, you will be able to divide the hordes in more pieces as the zombies dropped in one location won’t follow you to the next one!

4. Focus on the melee weapons – ammunition is low for the guns and reload times are long, making them usable only early in the game or in specific situations. Just focus on the melee weapons instead who are faster and do a lot of damage.

5. Battle axe – best melee weapon out there – it’s long and relatively easy to get if you turn yourself into a little achievement hunter (you need to complete 50% of the achievements to get the weapon). But once you have it, since it’s long, you can work magic with it!

6. How to kill zombies with armor – simply aim to their legs! You will see that it’s better than trying to destroy their helmets!

  1. What’s about your tips:

Tip#3 is totaly wrong. I’ve completed the whole game without running hard or fighting only in long corridors. The point is that Melee weapon doesn’t cost ammo and is actually good (mostly silent, besides chainsaw), but firearms (good ones) will help you ways much better to hold zombie horde back even in the tightest spots, while Melee weapon is pretty useless for it. You should actually give your companion a shoutgun, a launcher (in case if u want him to shoot rare, but hard), assault rifle or machinegun/sub-machinegun. This way u can actually spend the whole game never shooting, since ur companion does a great job with a good gun.

Tip#4 isn’t wrong, but aint right as well. Using Melee weapon is recomended in cases when u fight 3 or less zombies at once, when u want to save some ammunition or when u want to stay silent. Otherwise I used rifle/assault rifle to get through the area faster. By the end of the game I had around 500+ bullets for every type, 1000+ of 9mm ammo (not sure about fuel, since I just tried chainsaw once.. it’s too heavy, it’s melee and drains fuel.)

    What about own tips.. well

Tip: Fighting hordes of zombies is easier using Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sub-Machine/Machine guns. For less then 3 zombies use Melee, Rifle, Handgun, Revolver.

Tip: Any kind of rocket launcher is useless, unless u give it to companion.

Tip: Companion with a good gun = omgwtf killer. You can have Melee weapon to push zombies back, while companion will clear the horde. That will cost you no ammo.

Tip: If you have low health, you can use medkits, food, sleep or level up (after setting stats u will be at full HP)

Tip: Battle Axe is the best Melee weapon, but it doesn’t hit for the full swing distance, but only for 2/3 of it. (sadly it’s just animation)

Tip: Try not to pick the gun from the inventory if zombie horde is close and u have nowhere to run. After you equip it, you will have to realod first, before u can start shooting.

    Tip: Equiping companion you can:
give him Melee weapon (but he acts pretty stupid with it)
give him fire weapon with good damage (he will kill zombies very effective and take some time to realod)
give him fire weapon with good push back (that will help to keep zombie back, but you will have to help him doing additional damage)
give him fire weapon with suprresser (when you scout buildings with melee weapon or weapon with supresser, if ur companion doesn’t have a silent weapon – he might attract zombies by shooting)
give him rocket launcher (if you want him to nuke hordes, but he will take a plenty of time to reload, so you will have to hold zombies during this)

Tip: After you meet the first guy who consturcts you weapons out of what you found, you don’t need to collect that trash anymore. It’s useless, noone else after will construct you anything out of it. Don’t keep clothes with you, rather put it in the box at the safeplace. You need to have weapons for 3 situations.

    1) Weapon for holding down hordes with good damage or pushback
    2) Weapong for killing solo zombies
    3) Silent weapon for scouting or when u run out of ammo

Choosing weapon don’t forget to check what kind of ammo it uses. You might be running low on it.

  2. Save up money for the katana. I’ve heard it is the best weapon in the game with 40 average damage. It’s expensive (If memory serves me right, around $1,100) but useful.
