If you remember, a while ago I wrote a feature regarding the best exclusive console games, one that proved that PlayStation 3s had the best exclusives. Well, today one thing is clear: Wii certainly has the worst games on the market. According to Metacritic scores checked by Edge Online, just 4% of the Wii games [...]

In an incredible twist of events, a few hardware pirating groups have decided to join forces and start a legal, console manufacturing company which, according to them, will actually win the console wars since it will deliver functional and dirt cheap consoles, just perfect for the economic downturn we’re all going through. Even more, it [...]

Probably we will never know exactly how many people purchased the Lost & Damned DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV, since it’s a digital download, but it appears that the numbers are very, very high. So high that Rockstar’s addon is the best ever released on Xbox 360, according to Microsoft.
Even more, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg [...]

Every now and then an upcoming game for the PlayStation 3 becomes the “console seller” Sony was waiting for a long time: most recently we had LittleBigPlanet which didn’t really put Sony back in the console wars and now we have Killzone 2 – about which is still to early to talk, but early reports [...]

Killzone 2 is considered by many the type of game which can get the PlayStation 3 back on track and even completely turn things around and allow Sony’s console win the console wars. However (and naturally), Microsoft is not at all impressed by Guerilla Games’ title. Even more, they have a big ace up their [...]

Fanboyism is and will always be a delicate matter: it’s the fanboys who get blamed when a game’s reputation is destroyed, they’re the ones who truly, madly, deeply hate the “others” (which, in our case, is either the PS3 or the Xbox 360) and will do their best to at least humiliate you if you [...]

Generally, the war between consoles when sale figures are no longer an argument takes part as console exclusive content vs. console exclusive content and Microsoft kind of won this war against Sony in the current-gen battle. However, the PS3 manufacturers don’t seem to be too impressed with that and would rather spend $50 million to [...]

2009 kicks off strong console wars-wise, since Sony’s boss Kaz Hirai has decided to launch another attack at Microsoft’s console, stating that Xbox 360s lack longevity and, in the end, PS3s will triumph. Even more, Hirai stated that Nintendo’s Wii is not even a competitor and the battle is between Xbox and PlayStation only. [...]

I guess we can’t consider it a huge surprise anymore: Nintendo was the cream of the crop in 2008, selling both Wii consoles as well as DS handhelds much better than Sony or Microsoft managed to sell their consoles. And if you take a look at the graph to the left presenting the console sales [...]
