Telltale might have just released the first episode of five in the revival of the Monkey Island franchise, but the full collection is already the best selling product on Steam, which shows us that, in the end, adventure gaming is not dead at all!

Well… it might be true that the “decade” is not yet over, but this does not mean we’re not interested to see which games sold best since January 1, 2000 until today, right? Fortunately, thanks to an impressive sales chart created by vgcharts, we have the numbers. Check it out in the screenshot to the [...]

I doubt that this week’s winner of the sales charts in the UK is any surprise for anybody: Resident Evil is the game and it was anticipated for it to rock the charts. However, it was not anticipated that last week’s winner, Empire: Total War, would drop so bad all the way to the eighth [...]

As anticipated, Street Fighter IV made a solid debut in the UK: straight at number one in the game sales charts, taking the crown from Nintendo’s Wii Fit who was probably getting bored with it anyway. Dawn of War II also made a good debut, jumping straight at number three, while Ben 10: Alien Force [...]

No, unfortunately we have no upcoming project announced, something like Street Fighter vs. Super Mario Universe, but the battle is still on, sales-wise. And unfortunately for Capcom, Ryu and the company were not able to defeat upon launch Mario and Luigi RPG in Japan, Nintendo’s game grabbing the top spot in the sales charts.

It’s turning into a cliché to write the weekly game sales chart news and announce that Nintendo’s Wii Fit is once more crowned as the best selling title in the UK… But, if that’s what people prefer to buy, it means that it has to be up there. I just wonder how long it will [...]

Once again, Nintendo’s Wii Fit topped the UK sale charts, becoming the second-longest running Nintendo title at number one in the UK charts. The chart refers to combined number one placement, and the previous second place holder was Pokemon Gold (7 weeks), while the number one is Pokemon Yellow with 10 weeks. Wii Fit now [...]

If the last year ended with a complete Call of Duty domination, the beginning of 2009 is dominated by Nintendo’s Wii Fit, even though Activision’s FPS and EA’s FIFA 09 are still up there in top three spots. In other words, the top ten selling games in the UK for the week ending February 1 [...]

Things were quite boring during the past several weeks in the UK sales chart, with Call of Duty: World at War competing for the first position with FIFA 09 only. However, things changed this week and there are quite a few surprises in the charts for the week ending January 17: we have a new [...]

I guess we can’t consider it a huge surprise anymore: Nintendo was the cream of the crop in 2008, selling both Wii consoles as well as DS handhelds much better than Sony or Microsoft managed to sell their consoles. And if you take a look at the graph to the left presenting the console sales [...]
