Harmonix has just announced that virtual rockers will get a chance to sing along with legendary Roy Orbison starting tomorrow, January 6 (for Xbox 360 versions of the game) and January 15 (for PlayStation 3 versions). Roy Orbison Track Pack 01 – which suggests that at least a second pack will be released in the future – will bring Rock Band owners six classic tracks:

• Oh, Pretty Woman
• Ooby Dooby
• In Dreams
• Claudette
• Mean Woman Blues
• You Got It

The track pack will be available for download for 800 MS Points (or $9.99) but each track will also be sold separately for 160 MS Points ($1.99). As it will always happen from now on, all the tracks are also compatible with Rock Band 2. Oh, one more thing: am I the only one thinking that Roy Orbison’s Only the Lonely was intentionally left out for an upcoming pack?
