New iOS Games: Week of September 20-26

With the release of iOS 7, the App Store updated the games page early. This week is quite a big week compared to last week. With a couple of big name sequels and more companies releasing new games for the new OS, the new batch of games has something for everyone. Let’s dive right in to see what goodies mobile gamers will be tackling this week.

 

Attack of The Sequels

This week turned out to become a great week for sequels. Chair Entertainment Group released Infinity Blade 3. With a new character to play as, players conclude the epic story from the previous 2 games. With high end graphics, new voice over work and the genius control system, reviews have been praising this game. New game modes add depth to the game and the new hideout allows players to build their skills while not in combat. Infinity Blade 3 is a must buy for the fans of the first 2 games. The game is $6.99 USD on the App Store with in-app purchases.

The pork-side of the force returns in Angry Birds Star Wars 2. For the first time ever in an Angry Birds game, you can play as the pigs, including Darth Maul and Darth Vader. With 30+ playable characters included in game, support for Telepods figures have been added, allowing players to bring figures into the game. With new gameplay tatics and character powers, Angry Birds Star Wars 2 continues the fun and goofiness. This game ins $.99 USD with in-app purchases.

Multiplayer Round Up

With the new multiplayer functionality of the new Game Center. Many multiplayer games have been released. Here is a quick list of some of the new games. We should note that all these games mentioned here are free but have in-app purchases for additional content.

  • You Don’t Know Jack! Party- You and your friends can play the popular trivia game using the TV or another iOS device together. Players use their own device as a controller.
  • CastleVille Legends- The popular Zynga social games goes mobile. Play with friends as you expand your own kingdom.
  • DuckTales: Scrooge’s Loot: Disney releases a new game in the DuckTales saga. Play in both single and multiplayer missions in 4 locations as you try to recover Scrooge’s stolen loot.
  • Battle Camp- Another monster-battling game. Players collect creatures, solve puzzles and explore a live world while battling each other or teaming up.
  • Total Conquest- For fans of Age Of Empires and multiplayer battles. Players build a Roman province and gather an army while either becoming allies or fighting each other for dominance.
