Square Enix’s highly anticipated new title; Murdered: Soul Suspect, has been officially announced to be coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year, along with its release on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

The game is touted as a dark detective thriller that sees players walking in the recently departed shoes of Salem police detective Ronan O’ Connor. The game’s premise is based around O’ Connor (the victim of a violent murder) being stuck in a limbo world called Dusk, not able to come to terms with his death.

Players must guide the ghostly detective as he attempts to solve his own murder, with hard-nosed detective gameplay spiced up by O’ Connors unnatural new abilities.

The Xbox One and PS4 version will sport increased graphics in the form of native 1080p output, subsurface scattering and an increased particle count. Murdered: Soul Suspect is set for release sometime in June this year.
