Monolith Prepares FEAR 2 Patch

Monolith Prepares FEAR 2 Patch

fear-almaStrangely not as popular as the original title, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is still a high quality horror first person shooter game which has its host of fans who highly admire the title. However, being a far from perfect title, FEAR 2 had its share of problems. But, as you can see, I’m using the past tense here because Monolith prepares a patch to fix F.E.A.R. 2.

Announced on the official game boards, the patch is expected to be released in the “upcoming weeks”. The full details are not available at the moment (the full change list, I mean), but we do have some info about the FEAR 2 patch from Monolith:

“In this patch we are modifying game difficulty to make the “hard” setting more challenging, adding the option to toggle film grain and head bob, and several other small fixes. There are a couple other items we are also exploring which might make it into this patch, but we need to do research to evaluate the time and resources that it will take to add these changes to the patch.”

So it’s good to know: not only that we’re having a F.E.A.R. 2 patch incoming, but there will be others in the future, too. I love perfectionists!

I’m hoping the patch will let me play the game…suffering a serious ‘Failure to Launch’ so far.

I just get this nagging feeling that this wouldn’t happen if STEAM weren’t involved…but I may be biased.
