gh-iiiWith Christmas just a couple of days away, we were not expecting any big announcements regarding extra downloadable content for Activision’s Guitar Hero. But this does not mean we’re not getting them – huge amounts of high quality music for our New Year’s needs.

So, right before Christmas, we’ll get a first batch of Guitar Hero DLC: Hinder, Nickelback and Rev Theory, will be available on December 23rd with “Use Me”, “Because of You” and “Light it up” respectively.

Early next year we’ll be gifted with further tracks – on January 8 we’ll see the debut of the Country Rock Track Pack featuring Rascal Flatts’ “Me and My Gang,” plus Brad Paisley‘s “Ticks” and Brooks & Dunn‘s “Hillbilly Deluxe.” On January 15 a three song pack from drummer Travis Barker will make its way to the DLC store, with “What’s My Age Again”, “Lycanthrope” and “Low”.

Three of the biggest Australian bands of all time will come to Guitar Hero on January 22: Silverchair with their hit “Tomorrow”, Wolfmother with “Dimension” and The Vines with their hit “Outtathaway!” Finally, January will end in style, as on January 29 Oasis’ Dig Out Your Soul album will be made available in Guitar Hero! It’s going to be a busy month, as you can see!
