Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 has finally been released after a long wait, and now players can take a deep breath and snipe down some enemies. Unfortunately, it works better from some, as quite a few owners of the game are having problems with Sniper Ghost Warrior 2: crashes, freezes and even the hated Black Screen ruin the experience and drive them mad. I am here to share with you some tips and tricks on what to do to fix the Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 crashes, freezes and black screen problems and hopefully help you get the most out of this game.

First of all, go through all the “classics”: make sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements to run the game, tune down the graphics a bit (or more) and make sure that your graphic card drivers are up to date.

If these little tricks don’t fix your problem and Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 crashes still, you could try to go tot he install directory of the game, right click the Sniper_x86.exe file and go to Properties -> Compatibility and tick the “Disable Desktop compositions” box.

If this still does not fix your problem, you might want to uninstall and perform a clean install of the game.

How to fix Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 black screen

The black screen problem is bugging a lot of players and if you are one of them, you probably have a problem with your graphic card (as in drivers not updated). If this doesn’t fix it, try the recommended fix above (the Disable Desktop composition one). Running the game as an administrator after checking the file integrity should also help you solve the black screen problem.

Also, make sure that you don’t have any controllers plugged in and try to remove any USBs that are plugged in which are not vital to running your computer.

Also, try to update your sound card drivers – you probably have an old version and it might cause some trouble.

Finally, if none of this works, it might be because you have an integrated video card, in which case the game can’t run. Make sure to use your dedicated memory for the graphics, setting it in the Catalyst Center (for AMD) and the nVidia control panel for nVidia.

I really hope that these fixes and tricks help you solve the problems you are having with the game – if they don’t or if you have other suggestions for those who have the same problems, please let us know in the comment section below.
