EA Access picEA has announced EA Access, a subscription service for the Xbox One which allows you to play EA titles for a monthly fee.

For a cost of $4.99/£3.99 a month, you will gain access to ‘The Vault’, which contains a number of games that you can download and play.

The system is currently in a beta for ‘a limited number of players’ with four games available to play: FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25 and Peggle 2. More titles will be added in time, but EA did not go into details about which ones.

Subscribers to EA Access will also be given 10% off EAs’ digital content for Xbox One. This includes both full game downloads, DLC and Season Passes.

Finally, subscribers will also gain early access to EA titles. You will be able to download and play games up to five days before their launch for a limited time. Should you then decide to buy the game; the progress you make will then be transferred so you can continue where you left off.

The first games announced as being included in the early access section are Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Again, more will be added.

The programme will also be made available for a years’ subscription, which will cost $29.99. A release date has not been specified but will be available from GameStop in the US, Amazon across Europe and EB Games in Canada. You can register for updates on EA’s site.
