Demo for Undertale Now Available for PC
This is a title that is going to make SNES-style RPG fans very happy. Undertale follows the adventure of a little girl in an underground world full of monsters. It is developed by one man, Toby Fox. I must say that I am really impressed with what I have played so far and the fact that a single person can create a game like this really blows my mind. The game is very reminiscent of Earthbound, complete with chiptunes and cute 16-bit graphics.
Undertale mainly consists of puzzle rooms as well as combat. The puzzles aren’t anything new, but the combat system is really something that I recommend everyone try out. You attack by pressing X or Enter to stop a fast moving needle spinning in an oval. Based on where it stops, you do more or less damage. When the enemy attacks you, you to avoid projectiles in order to keep yourself from losing health. This is a very original concept and something that I have never seen in a game before.
At this point there is no set release date for the game and the demo is only available for PC. If you’re on a Mac and want to try it out, it looks like they will be releasing a Mac demo on the website eventually. Thanks for reading and feel free to check the game out here.
