De Blob Creators Prepare Swords & Soldiers

De Blob creators Ronimo Games are planning to make their WiiWare debut with style, by releasing a “historical inaccurate” medieval game, Swords & Soldiers which will obviously feature some of the humor the developers are well known for. And hopefully some big quality along the way, since that’s something the WiiWare releases sometimes miss.

“WiiWare is the perfect platform for a Ronimo game, which we hope becomes something people expect to be unique in style, and most importantly, really fun,” said Fabian Akker, president of Romino Games. “We want to make games that the entire family can play, wants to play, and actually plays. Swords & Soldiers is one of those game that we hope really takes off and finds its audience.”

In other words, Swords & Soldiers will be a side-scrolling strategy game – which means that players can choose from three powerful and unique factions as they let loose their armies and cast awesome spells to destroy the enemies’ castle. Sounds fun and it should be since among the announced features of the game we have: historical inaccuracy, easy Wiimote control and modes galore. At the moment there is no release date set for Swords & Soldiers, but we’re keeping our eyes open for this title.
