Backyard Monsters Tips, Tricks & Strategy

Published

on

Backyard Monsters, as stated in my review, is one of the coolest and most complex Facebook games at the moment. However, mastering the game takes a lot of time and dedication and you’ll need a perfect strategy in order to be competitive in the game. In this article, I am going to share with you a bunch of Backyard Monsters Tips and Tricks in what can be considered and early strategy guide for the game.

Backyard Monsters Basics:

– Try logging in at least twice per day during the first days of playing in order to quickly build up your base. You need, while in protection, to upgrade the resource gatherers fast and build two silos
– Your second focus should be on upgrading your towers. You need strong towers to defend against players once you’re out of protection!
– Do NOT collect the quest rewards unless you REALLY need the resources. You might find them extremely valuable if you can afford to save them for later.
– But do remember to collect all your resources and bank them in time!
– When close to getting out of protection, try to get the best out of the environment (the mushrooms) and strategically place the buildings around. The more time it takes for enemy monsters to get to your buildings, the better.
– For starters, using Octo-ooze and Pokeys to attack is the best since they are cheap, easy to produce and they can do quite some damage. I found Finks to be quite useless during the early stages, and so are Eye-ras if there are no walls.
– You should use all the walls you can in order to protect your base!

How to get more resources faster in Backyard Monsters?

Obviously, by attacking players! Early on, you should attack in waves with Octo-ooze and Pokey monsters to destroy the towers and resource silos. You might also wish to use Bolts with Octo-ooze if the other player has strategically placed the silos and resourcers in the middle.

Later on, you should adopt the same strategy using waves of Ichi and Brain and when possible, create huge armies of Crabtron to attack other players. This way you will loot tons of resources easily!

How to build a perfect base in Backyard Monsters?

One of the biggest problems players are facing in the game is that of the base building: how to place the buildings in such a way that your resources are safe? Unfortunately, there’s no golden rule of thumb to follow since the environment can work in or against your favor, but here’s how I’ve set up my base after a few tries and found it to work best against attackers:

– I have high level building of each resource gatherer, except for the goo, of which I have two. I also have one silo, two monster hatcheries and two monster housings. These are placed in the middle and protected always, while other buildings are used to distract the attackers.
– The other buildings are: low level resource gatherers, town hall and all the other buildings you can create. These, alongside walls and defense towers are surrounding the protected buildings and are the first to get attacked. The base should be as close to a square as possible!
– Why is this a good strategy? Because you won’t lose too many resources, since most of them are in the middle and you might just get into Damage Protection if the attackers destroy your outside buildings at first!

Don’t forget to add your comments with your own strategy tips for the game and also don’t forget to share the article with your friends & on Facebook in order to help as many people as possible!

I think buildings like the Map Room, Flinger, Yard Planner, Monster Lockers, and Monster Hatcheries are not needed. If you can sustain heavy attack from high-level monsters, then there is no reason to fight other players. It would be much quicker to try building up your defences and resources, and once you have it all, make the biggest army. That’s what I’m doing

attacking is really important. u can gather alot of extra resources by farming other peoples yards. attack as much as possible.

I am a seasoned strategy gamer so the basis of this game is simple, upgrade the town hall as fast as you can, better underprotection, dont attack until your time is up. Secondly build as many silos and resource gathers the town hall allows. The highter the town hall upgrade the more defences you can build. I put the silos and resource gathers around the town hall then surrounded them with the turrents then put a stone wall around then the none essential buildings I put around those with wooden walls. I find its best to start upgrading 12hr buildings during the night and whilst your playing upgrade the 5min, 15min buildings etc… When attacking use the octo-ooze or Ichi first you can possibly have three or four attacks so two waves of tower attacks first then sweep in with silo and resource gathers next.

Good post, solid strategy. But waiting the whole-what‽ week‽ before going on the offensive? The animation is cute but…I’m tired of farmville. Turn ’em loose on some tower!

You can raise a fairly deadly army if you spend just a bit (1/3) on building monster production (fine, 3/4 should be sent on that long march to max production). Focus on twigs and pebbles and then goo, ya know- for troops.

My point is that there’s a window when you can launch a serious wave of pokey on some guy who couldn’t wait that long either– he too had to pick a fight, probably before he was sure of where to put his 2nd sniper tower. Don’t be that guy. Be the guy (or gal) that walks off with all his shiny bought resources.

Last thought; no gun should be working alone. Overlapping Fields of Fire and gun upgrades keep your walls spatter free.

Good strategy, but its better 2 have 3 or 4 of high level resource gatherers than 2 have 6 low leveled ones, less high leveled ones are easy 2 protect. And 4 me BANDITO is the best monster, its economical + u can create a vast army because it only consumes 20housing spaces, even if u unlock D.A.V.E. you can only build around 10 monsters. Do the math & choose the monster you going to focus on (accumulated health & damage). thanks, let me know if this strategy works.

the way i set mine up is wall in the hatcherys, locker, flinger, maproom, and monster housing. wall those in so that you dont have to worry asmuch about towers, because people wont waste there time on them considering they wont get many resources from them, and dont feel like wasting time breaking down a wall anjd risking possible mines. second, build four of each resource building, and group each four in a square on each iside of your town hall, toped with a storage silo for all 4(lvl 4 town hall needed) than, place small groups of 2-4 towers, trry to mix it up, like for a group of two have 1 snipe one cannon, etc. place those around the resource building and town hall, that way, no matter where the monsters are, they will be under constant fire by your towers. do not buiuld a wall around that structer or group of buildings, because it will b destroyed and b a waste of resources. i dont use walls much, because it takes my finks a total of 3 seconds to tear through 2 layers of wood black, or 1 layer of metal. also, i suggest upgrading your town hall to the max, that way everything else is easy and you know your max limit that way you can stay organized, and keep everything looking neat and opperational. when attacking, dont mix up monsters to much. i would say, become dependent on one monster. i have destoyed lvl 35 bases with an army of finks(25) and im lvl 24. another hint, if you attack someone, attack them good, make sure they r scared to retaliate, cause if they arnt they will eat you alive. thats all i got, email me and jhawrestler@gmail.com if you want any more hints, or you have any ideas 0on how you can improve my method

well basically what i did is wall in my silos and town hall surrounded by 3 layer of stone and wood walls because they hold all ur resources like the 1,000,000`s so then my resources have a sniper tower in middle lvl 5 and then 3 wall is surrounded by 5 sniper towers and 6 splash then i put remaining building in corner an put traps around my resource makers it works GREAT so far i havent lost any major amounts of resources so ya lol

  6. SPAWN

    September 11, 2010 at 7:17 pm

base should be like circle or triangle… triangular base should have one corner blocked with stone walls, there u put silos, resource gatherers and HQ. with wooden walls try blocking 2 sides of triangle so there is only 1 open. build splash towers at ends of wooden walls and few blocks inside sniper ones (be sure that u place 2-3 bobby traps in front of each sniper, so if monsters destroy your splash towers, they will go for your sniper in groups and they wont make it to tower). and use other buildings as defense too… that’s best tactic i know so far

when attacking (for Low Level Players)

    we often use ICHI,

    Eye-ra(Optional)

A high damage monster whose specialty is attacking resources

ICHI will attract the attention of defensive towers since, it has a high health it will take a lot of time eliminating them

then the other monster can go and attack the resources without being damaged

make some Eye-ra for destroying walls

(but low level players usually have thin or incomplete walls)

One good thing to do for ur army is get a lot of ihi and bandito and then just send bandito upwards the resources and about 10 of them dominate

what are good ways to set up your base if you’re at a really REEEALLY low level? right now i have a town hall, 2 silos, general store, putty thing, goo thing, pebble thing, twig thing, monster locker, cannon, sniper, and lots of wooden boxes…i’m a level 12…please help :)) ty

DO NOT ever place your resources together. Always seperate them so monsters only attack one of them. Make your Snipers nearer to your town hall,( put it in the middle of the resources) and cannons nearer to the resources. (Your yard should look squarish.

the best thing to do is to complete quests so u get lots of resorces and even if ur bank gets full quest resorces keep coming in so do that then u have the resorces to upgrade and build new things so u make a better base

Here is a break down of how you should attack. First off, unless you have $500 dollars or more to spend every month it will take some time to become the alpha dog. So for anyone new take my advice, first build your resources up, along with your town hall. The higher level the town hall the higher you can upgrade everything. Get your town hall and resources to the highest level you can by day 4. By day four you want to start building defence towers. Place them thought out your backyard. On day 5 build your monster locker, hatchery, and monster house. Keep in mind you still need to upgrade resources, and town hall. Day 6, start unlocking monsters. Day 7, you should have atleast 4 of each resources and 4 silos. They should be atleast level 6 or 7. This should be easy to do because the first few levels you won’t have to wait long to finish the upgrading on. Here is one tip to upgrading without siting at your computer all day. When you click upgrade, see how long it takes to upgrade them item. Check the time and be back at your computer about 5 minutes before the upgrade is done. This way when you click the speed up button, it will be free to do so. Continue to do all of this till your protection is over. Also you will need a monster academy. This will upgrade your monsters. Trust me if you think your monsters are bad ass at level one, then upgrade them to level 3 and see how much stronger you become.

Now let’s talk about how to attack. When facing anyone with a great yard set up try to remember what monsters do the most damage, and also can take just as much damage. If you attack low level yards use Ichi, and Fink. The best way to figure out how many of each to use, remember this once all defence towers are down Ichi will destroy everything so, if you have 5 hatcheries fill 4 with Ichi and 1 with Fink. This will overwelm most yards you face off with. People around the same level use Ichi or Crabatron to destroy defence towers, and use Banditc Fang, or the all powerful DAVE. Most people would use Project X and DAVE but Project X dies to easily. Crabatron is the best for defence towers, mixed with DAVE’s power you can put anyone into damage protection. I do recommend when going to the map you view the list form, not the map itself. When looking for a victum view their yard first. It they have been attack, and have no defence towers…don’t waste time just send out Pokey to finish them off. Beware you might get a visit for the one you attacked some time down the road. If that happens you can always ask for a truce. Don’t be scared to ask for one neither. Some times we run into someone much stronger than us, and a truce might calm things down again between you too. Also don’t make any of the following monsters, Bolt, Eye-ra, and Brain. They are worthless. The reason is both Bolt, and Brain won’t always finish off a silo or the resources before jumping to a new one, and Eye-ra just dies the minute it hits a wall. It’s a waste of goo.

Keep in mind that you need to account for time in this game. One second you might have a good target and the next second they might be under attack. So when you go offline try making monsters so they are ready the next time you log in.

    Ahhh yes…
Stradegy! I have not found any perfectly protected yards yet.

    Protecting Your Yard….
I set my yard up with my Town Hall, Silos and Laser/ Tesla Guns in the center-surrounded by a perfectly squared wall. Next Layer I mixed up my Twig Snappers, Pebble Crushers, Sniper and Cannons with the remaining wooden blocks perfectly squared around them so that it all resembles a target. Next, I place my mines in areas that I find get attacked the most. I found these areas after paying attention to the blood detail.

    Attacking Other Yards…

I hit the targeted yard with approxamately 3 quick Twig & Pebble Catapult attacks–NMot sending in my Ichis and Project X’s until the 3rd or 4th Attack to take out the remaining towers. After Most-if not all guns are gone-I send in a Large Wave of (Trained) Banditos and Finks. I found D.A.V.E. to be practically a waste of Goo and Spacve to do much good. But by mixing up certain monsters I.E. Ichi’s and Project X’s, I can Tear up just about any yard.

Seriously, Matt? How would your base like to face against an unlimited number of pokeys? Defenses would crumble if they didn’t put up a limit. Unless they made stronger towers. Then they’d just spend 24 hours making Daves and attack bases that way.
If you hate the CC so much, why are you still playing?

Best attacking strategy i’ve found is to mass pokeys, it takes a couple minutes to fill your housings. at max level it only takes a little over 32k good to fill them. You can build 162 of them. if you knock out laser towers that may get in your way ahead of time you can level a base in just a few waves. just keep an eye out for cannon towers, while pokeys can still destroy them if they get caught while in a clump it will kill your entire army in a couple shots. I tried this out first just for fun and was shocked when i leveled the guys yard in my first attempt. i tried it on numerous other yards and found that it worked time after time. get millions of resources for the cost of 32k goo. it’s hillarious when they retaliate in rage and fling millions of resources at me send in their expensive armies and leave with less than they spent on the attack.

Do not attack too many times. If u have a damage protector, don’t waste them. Gather your own resources first. If you attack someone, that someone will attack you back. Also, the most important buildings are firstly, resources gatherer, secondly, town hall, and lastly, silos. always protect them by other buildings. One last important note: Do not waste your Shiny. Only use them for hiring builder, or expanding your yard.

Town hall in the middle, resources seperated to decrease the number of resources damaged, telsa and laser near town hall, sniper/cannons near resources, walls around them.

im currently just lv 33. the best defences are to build your town hall in the middle, put walls around it, build ur lasers and testlas around the town hall walls and ur good lv 10 resources and silos, put ur gold blocks around those.

then put all ur low lv resources and lv 4 cannons and snipers around ur gold walls and put up stone walls. this way the monster attacking will destroy all ur low lv’d stuff while going around ur gold walls and getting attacked by ur good stuff. then they’ll take a while to get through ur gold walls killing them all

I am reading a lot of pretty good strategies, but lets get back to attacking. If your going to farm resources, and a lot, then be prepared to attack a few times in succession, but to a certain percentage for the 1st attack (less then 30% damage to their base), or your army will be wiped out and they will go into damage protection. What I mean by this is go attack with monsters that attack defensive towers. Octo ooz, ichi’s, Crabtron, etc. Take out the most destructive towers 1st (Lazer 1st, Telsa’s). Use launch twigs and pebbles at them 1st (if you can knock it out good, but if not do damage them. Spread your attack out, and do not launch all your tower cridders at once. Send a good portion, and if possible a couple of anything critters with them, Make sure you place the anything monster as close to the defensive towers as possible or the will take off where they will do other damage. after a good portion of towers are down, send out the remaining tower killing monsters. Watch the flinger time. If your running out and you thing that you can take all the towers down, and the rest of the base then go for it. If not, call off attack when you think your near 30% damage. Go home. Look into map again to see if they are in damage protection. If not build more tower killers, but a little less then before, get some anything killers, and wipe out the base. Remember send in portions at a time and spread the attack around. I am level 30, but I am trashing level 36’s and 37’s with this method. I have accumulated in one week close to 30,000,000 in resources from the same bases. If they dont change their base setup keep milking them. Remember their towers may get stronger, but use the same technique. Oh, the cannon towers do a lot more damage then the snipers so hit them if you can before snipers. Its all systematic. Your welcome

  23. Paylow

    December 5, 2010 at 6:23 am

Oh snap almost forgot to tell ya. If you knock down a section of building from the initial attack, you can actually fling monsters over the knocked out buildings. Brings your attack closer to your planned targets for the next attack and avoids falling on booby traps. Your welcome for that too.

Geeze another bit of info. GET ICHI’s, get the academy and train them at high as you can. Still only takes 40 spaces in housing but has pretty good heath at 2200 and 70 damage. I have crabtrons, but I only house at most 10 – 12 for initial attacks. I add them if I need a boost towards a tower. Ichi’s Ichi’s Ichi’s.

How to stop them from attacking you!?
    answer:
#1. Build up your defenses (level-it-up!).
#2. Arrange your yard in a strategic manner! a tandem of ST and CT will do the trick also the defense tower must be close to each other so that they can support each other… traps is a surprise attack so place it where the monster will mob… if you wanna know how strong your defenses are, try the wild monster baiter to test your defense capabilities, there are 4 arrows in the square, indicating the positions of the monster to be spawned.
#3. Unlock monsters in the locker.
#4. Level up your monsters in the monster academy!
#5. Teach your attacker a lesson. Always attack him/her until he give up on attacking you! but how?! prepare your monsters in a battle! look for loop holes in his yards.

#6.but if you really can’t defeat him/her, buy a protection in the shop, if you have an extra shiny! Choose the protection for a week! I think you can prepare yourself to attack him on a week! but note that you can’t attack someone when you are protected! because your protection will disappear once you engage an attack!

  27. Level 5 Town Hall

    December 7, 2010 at 3:07 am

I only have a level five town hall, 3 housings, 5 hatcherys six of all resources makers. All my housings are level 4. The way I get resources is by attacking the Kozu and Dreadnaught tribes. I know this sounds hard but once you attack them about 5 times each they get really good town halls so that when you destroy their town halls you get around 500,000 resources of each kind.(Accept Goo, you only get about 200,000 of that.)Back to the housings. Because they’re level 4 I have 1,122 housing spots. What I use to Attack are Level 3 Pokeys. 112 Pokeys can usually when in 1 to 3 attacks. And because they’re level 3 they only take 8 seconds to make 1. With five hatcherys I can rebuild an army of 112 pokeys in a matter of minutes.
Now to the subject of a base. What you want to do is use STONE BLOCKS to surroun your Town hall. Put your best towers around it. then put your resource makers as a protective layer outside the Town Hall. Make sure to spread some of your other towers among the resource makers. Then surround them with another layer of blocks. Hatchery, Housings, Catapaults, Flingers, and all that other stuff is not as important. Oh and Send a truce message to everyone on your list, It keeps most attacks away. Oh and one last thing the last time my town hall got destroyed with this defence in place was almost a month ago and it was because they flung in 10,000,000 pebbles. So Please try this It will probably work.

My base is the town hall in the exact middle (lv 5), then two laser tower and tesla tower protecting that and some resources. Also i have 4 cannon towers also protecting the town hall and resources. Then, on the outside i put 1 sniper tower for each side of the ‘square’ Of which my valubles are protected. I put my silos and 1 of each resource harvester surrounded by blocks and 2 cannon towers and 2 snipers surrounding those in a different “chamber” than the other one. All of my other buildings ex. Hatcherys Flinger Map Room Etc. in one corner.

    Alright.
To the few non-noobs that visit this website, this is how its done. 1 So put your town hall in the middle with storage silos covering it
2 Surround with blocks but leave 4 corners open for booby traps
3 put defenses around your blocks and leave booby traps around the ones that are the most prone to be attacked by anti defnese monsters
    4 surround with resources
5 put blocks around the resources but leave some openings (depending on how much space you have to cover)
6 make a long chain of useless stuff(hatcheries, map room, catapult
…etc basically everything besides silos town hall and resources) around the outside blocks.
7 place booby traps where most of the anything-liking monsters would probably go
thats basically it for now because im not going to waste any more time just because of the couple non-noobs that actually go here “how do I bank my resources?” “how do i attack someone” you get what I mean

Again to the non-noobs, when attacking people, you have to attack them hard.
1 Use the catapult to catapult the defense towers that are the most bunched up.
2 Send in some bolts to destroy booby traps(they ARE the most useless)
3 Send in alot of crabs
4 Send in some project Xs
5 Catapult putty rage onto them
6 When they are done, they probably took out all the defense towers so if:
    A. there are still some project Xs then you can choose to keep attacking to prevent risking them getting damage protection, or
    B. If you think they dont have damage protection then go end attack and attack again (you have to have a very good sense of judgment if they have damage protection dont attack them if around 30% of his stuff are dead. keep in mind even if most the things you killed were housing hatcheries and all that crap, they still can help give him damage protection)
Hint: Choose who you attack VERY CAREFULLY and try to check EVERYONE first. If someone who is usually good is on your map and open, still check him. someone else might have weakened his defenses
Also choose where you fling your monsters in. If you are using crabs and project Xs, just catapult their lasers until they die and then send it in on everything else.REMEMBER to use bolts to trip booby traps first Before you attack anybody, check what is in their housing.if they have Daves and that crap but their defenses suck, you might want to consider the pros and cons of attacking him

This is to all the non-noobs,but its not like we could have went anywhere in backyard monsters if it werent for those noobs that we loot stuff from

my base is squared and have walls surround all my buildings the walls have 4 entrances and each entrance is guarded by a laser and tesla and have 5 booby traps each
i am lvl 31 pls add me

    January 3, 2011 at 5:16 pm

the best base layout is :
housing, hatchery, monster locker and everything else like that should not be protect becuase the are not that important
weak guns should be protect with the resources and town hall
all strong guns should be outside the blocks and protecting the weak guns
to use booby traps just make some gaps in your blocks and place them in the place i suggest double layer the booby traps incase they’re itchis witch only die with a second booby trap mostly
this is what i have done and my town hall has only been damaged once from 94 brains from dreadnut :P

hope you find this help full

    January 8, 2011 at 7:16 am

That is desirable, though… as if they are destroyed by projectiles they will not lose any resource… i recommend using silos around laster towers for that very reason – they may attack, but in order to use catapult to neutralise lasers they will also severly limit the amount of resource they can capture

  39. Lance;)

    January 9, 2011 at 4:49 am

Lots of good stuff. I liked that bit about not collecting your bonuses, thats smart. What I have done so far, is built two silos, 4 of each resource collector, as well as 4 snipers and 4 cannons. Ive maxed out all the upgrades on the towers and my silos, as well as some of my resource collector. I havent upgraded my town hall yet, i see no reason to currently. All the resources, and silos are boxed in a corner, with the majority of my guns protecting that bottom edge. This does leave my top part weak, since its just wooden boxes protecting it, put people dont realize that you can fling monsters outside an enemies yard, and they will still attack. I have Booby traps placed in between my guns, with boxes in front of the guns, directing them to the traps. I just easily held off an attack against 32 Brains with minimal damage. 1 resource collector lost half its health, and a gun was slightly damaged. Booby traps work wonders.

full level ITCHIS then produce at least 40 armies of itchis..
then, after you take down towers, produce monsters that are specialized in resoures..

acually daves are found by alot of people useless and not dependable…since they take a long time to hatch and create and they are slow :)project X and crabratrons are the best together unless u have good spacing in ur housing and like 1000000 shiny so u can overdrive hatcheries. PS if u want to kill lazer tower send 10 crabs and 5 poject x together then 5 more porject 2 seconds later i guarenty i porbally killa lazer tower :)

I am lvl 34, and i have a base that goes like this:
i have stone blocks surrounding everything i have, in 1 layer

i have 3 or 4 defensive towers positioned in a group to the north south east and west, so i didnt protect my corners

but the thing is people usually get into my base without trouble with DAVEs- so is my base plan not working?
    do i have to redesign?

dude, place your walls/towers where they’re most useful- NEXT TO THE IMPORTANT BUILDINGS! Block off your town hall, then silos, but make sure that your defensive towers (im assuming that you have Teslas and lasers) can cover each other and the TH. its very effective. Use the non essential buildings to occupy the monsters outside your outer most wall (if you have any blocks left. It is VERY useful. also, make small gaps in the wall if you don’t have enough blocks with traps. it is also very simple and it takes no effort. Put your cannons on the outer wall, then your sniper in the heart of your base. but make sure that you can cover the cannon towers with your snipers. (use a yard planner to do that)

well, its worked GREAT for my base, so try it out on yours.

@Tim Greer – nice tips for first 7 days, but i’m at day 4 and already have almost all possible (for town hall lvl 4) building set up, resource harvesters are on lvls 6-7, and sometimes 8, towers upgrading to max (atm) level, and other strategic (war) buildings are in plans to max them out in next day.
Why? Attacks on wild tribes – IF you have upgreaded Goo factories to lvl 3-4 (and other harvesters) in first 1-2 days, then you will just be wasting goo if you’ll not attack wild tribes, not only first attacks have quests for (i suggest using rewards from them later – when you are in need), but also that’s great resources source itself.

And about checking upgreade time and coming back to your computer when it’s finished – well, i’m just building ALL possible buildings with short building time during day, and i’m setting long (8h+) upgreades/builds at night.

u shud put it in da middle
make a gold wall around it
and put your storage silos beside your town hall and put laser towers and tesla towers around it and then you put your resources with other defence towers aroinjd the resources then you make another wall around it so it protects it

The most anyone has taken from me is 6000 puddy, meanwhile I run around stealing an average of 500,000 of each per attack on a regular basis. Yes, I would say that I have a perfectly protected yard.

My yard is set up like a flower. In the middle, I have my Town Hall, in the center surrounded by metal walls. In the direct corners of the town hall, I have four of my resource silos. In between two of the resource silos I have my last resource silo. In the other three voids between my silos, I have sniper towers. These are the start of the paths to the outside.

    ____________
I CT RT RT I CT
    I I
    I RT T/L RT I MB
    I ___I
I RT RT I SS ST
    I________I
    ST MB ST TH

this is roughly what each “pedal,” to follow the analogy, would look like.

CT = Cannon Tower lev 4
    T/L = Tesla or Laser lev 2
ST = Sniper Tower lev 4
MB = Monster Bunker lev 2
RT = Resource Tower lev 8
SS = Storage Silo lev 9
TH = Town Hall lev 6

    I __ = Blocks

    Defense:
    * the most important things to protect are the: town hall, resources and silos.
*If u use the booby traps well u can kill easily a lot of monsters with out strategy

    * Try to find the weakest point of the base

    February 28, 2011 at 8:38 pm

    Okay:

the best way to lay your base out is simple,
all u gotta do is put all snipers and teslas in the middle around the town hall, then put resources around the snipers.
After put silos in on side making a rectanglular base.
Now put walls around it( put some booby traps instead of all bocks)
putting booby traps will help getting rid of attacking monsters!
Now put the cannon towers arround the walls and where u put the silos put the laser towers.
There u go the best base so far i made :)

    Attacking:
I am level 34 so far.

    My best army is this:

    25 ichis

    4 D.A.V.E
(MY HOUSING IS 1,140) It depends on how much housing u have, how many monsters u attack with

to finish off i attack with as many wormzers as i can.

Well i hope I was helpful

By the way this is my first comment in the internet…

Tips in how to get a invincible base:

1.Make sure your town hall has walls (if possible upgrade them to the highest level)

2.Make sure your town hall has protection (tesla, laser)

3.Make sure your harvesters (resource gatherer)have protection like (snipers, cannon if possible upgrade them to the highest level)

4.Make sure you have separated the harvesters into 3s or 4s (1 goo factory,2 pebble shiner, etc.)

5.Make sure to put your monster locker, monster academy , hatchery and housing near the town hall where it gets protection.

6.And put the harvesters in an area where it is full of sniper and cannon towers.

If you follow all this guides you can have the invulnerable base.

best thing for me to do is keep upgrading silos and harvesters then once you have tons of resources, remove the useless building like map room, store, catapult etc. well just keep em way from ur town hall so it wont be a main option when someone attack it give you more space to arrange ur defense n try upgradin all ur towers to lvl 4

Just build vast army’s of crabatron and your be golden. Dont be a dumb ass and attack with only anthing monsters cause the sniper or special towers (tesla laser or monster bunker) will wipe them out quickly. I still am not at a good point with my strategy but i will probably be able to perfect it in my future battles.

the best Strategy 2 build ur yard is the followin:
put ya resource gatherer and silos N tha middle of the yard and put a wall round em. outside the wall U should place as many towers as possible and put another wall round em. all tha other buildings U should put around this so that the others cant throw their monsters directly next 2 tha wall.
dont B afraid if ur main building gets destroyed tats not 2 bad. only few resources will B taken away.
    good luck! :)

I Achieve good results by swarming opponents with level 2 pokeys and some octo ooze. they don’t do a lot of damage on their own, but 60 or 70 of them released at key points in the enemy defenses can be incredibly effective.

hey backyard monsters players im a level 35 at the moment an when i used to be level 31 with my strategy i got up one full level in the matter of 10 mins with my stradegy so here it is wat i do is just keep attacking people around ur level and you end up finding a few people that ither leave there town hall on its own or there not protecting there silos so you end up attacking them nearly everyday and you get millions of recouses see theres this one person i attack they have a level 6 town hall just on its own so every time i attack her i end up leaving the battle with at least 2 million twigs, 1.5 million pebbles 900 thousand putty and 200-300 thousand goo so there follow my steps and you will be a pro in no time :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  98. Aled

    April 25, 2011 at 5:32 am

What i have done, is put all non-essential buildings around the edges, away from the essential buildings. i leave these non-essential buildings unprotected cause they repair quickly, and i dont really need them much. this in an excellent strategy, because then my main area of silos, harvesters, town hall etc is much smaller, therefore all of my defensive towers overlap their ranges, so i have more protection. i also have holes in my stone & metal bricks, because this draws them to those holes. i then put many booby traps there, so enemies are destroyed quickly. also, fill monster bunkers with lv 3 eye-ra, cause each one takes out loads of enemy monsters. i use teratorn to attack: they may use a lot of goo to make, and take a lot of housing space, but laser, cannon, monster bunkers and booby traps are totally ineffective against them, so suddenly its as if the enemy has large holes in his/her defences. i am lv 34, town hall lv 6. i get about 3million of each resources every attack i make.

You won’t be able to take it over, because your Map Room is not level 2. You will need Town Hall level 7 I think to take over their territory. I hope this is useful.

ok, all this is good, my defence is that i put my resourses and silos SEPERATED from eachother. if you have them all in one spot someone could use itchi to take out your towers and then just send in 5 banditos to take out the resourses. if you have them spread out it takes much more to take them all out, you have to take out all the towers and all the defences to be safe taking them. also, have your laser towers WELL protected with a cannon tower or two, the cannon towers have better range and can take out some of the forces while the laser takes them out when they get to the cannon.

    July 9, 2011 at 9:18 pm

Hello Everyone; After reading through the comment thread I will disscuse to widely used topics, Protection and Army.

    First up; Protection.

Protection: When you build a base you generaly want to protect your most valubal buildings!
Thereforth I made a list of the most valubale buildings in the game.

Town Hall: 100Pts. It takes the longest to rebuild and is the center of your base

Silos: 80Pts. Its where you keep the bulk of your resources an should not be left ungaurded; They are the main targets in attack (when You attack you attack for resources of course)

Resource Collectors: 50Pts. Considering how many resource collecters there are you should have them under quite good protection and will be targeted about the 2nd most in the game

Defensive Towers and Buildings: xxpts. These ones defend themselves to some extent therforth making them unjuable! Have them overlap!

Housing and Hatechery: 30-70pts. Depending on how much you attack these are eather crucial or unimportant and bait

Other Buildings: 10-30Pts. Depending on your style of play you should offer up the ones you don’t use much as bait and protect the crucial ones

    ——————————————————————–
    Now for the army part
    Army:
In an army there are a few points to look at:
1.) What are you after? Look at what you want to capture and then build your army based on that!

2.) Protection, Have Itchi or Crabaton be the bait as stronger monsters do the damage.

3.) Traps, Send in a few pokeys or octooozes to check for traps before you realy start attacking.

4.) Catapult, Think on how you can use your catapult to help out your monsters (ie. Increase strength with Putty; and weeken Defensive towers as backup!)

5.) Be originol; Copying my exact plans won’t let you learn anything! so Improvise a bit; This is just a rough guidline
    ——————————————————————–
    Thanks for Reading!

Good luck and please leave follow up Comments and tell me how it worked for you; Also rate this ;) Thank you!

      Dear WAAWA,
There are a few resons why you are being picked on so much; and

there are a few anwsers ;)

Here are your options and I hope they help!

1.) Your Yard: Something is wrong if they have such ease looting

it! I recomened you rearange it and try to get a good set

up; where the silos, townhall and resource’s are protected!

2.) Boycott; When being bullied one of the best ways is to quit the

Game for a week and then return; bye then they will have moved

      On to someone else!

3.) Threats; These work quite well for me, send them a TRUCE invite

after attacking there yard 5x in a row or such, and say

something around, “your stronger than me but I can still hurt

lets work together instead or will both end up dead!”

I truly hope this helped you ;) please respond; at anyone and

everyone; just leave me a ? and I will help you out :D

  133. Miles

    July 21, 2011 at 12:06 am

I have developed my own strategy. I find it works rather well. I am a level 34 and can defend level 40’s with this placement of buildings, turrets, and, of course, blocks. with help from the monster baiter, i have nearly perfected this strategy. First(like everyone else) I place my town hall in the center, then i put my champion cage right next to it. I place all my resources all around my town hall. I place a layer of blocks surrounding my resources, surround all of this with turrets, then another layer of blocks. I keep buildings like the hatchery, monster baiter, silos, monster lockers, and even monster labs. outside my base.

The key to not being attacked though is to keep a low profile… don’t send truces, messages, don’t even attack someone unless you have analyzed their base and are sure you have the power to defeat them.

a rule i go by: be sneaky, when attacked, be prepared

for all those begginners out there, who probably aren’t reading this, like me when i first started.

anyway, when you’re a begginner actually READ the tutorial. I didn’t and guess what, it took me 10 minutes to find which building was the hatchery.

okay tip two spend your shiny only on workers or expansions. save up the shiny you get from mushrooms or you’ll be like me, only 2 workers.

the third tip? upgrade the damn resources for gods sake ,don’t use shiny to buy resources, use your resource harvesters! simple. by the time your protection is gone you should have all level 4 harvesters.

the last tip quit trying to upgrade your town hall so much. upgrade and build other things as well. there’s no point in trying to fly when you can’t walk. don’t upgrade your town hall the first chance you get. upgrade everything else and when you have no choice upgrade it

  138. Ethan

    July 29, 2011 at 7:09 am

now about the champions. none of them are better than the other. here’s some advice though

lets talk about Gorgo. hes great for beginners level (-30) because his high health and damage make him practically invincible. but here’s the thing. Gorgo is a solo monster. Sure you can send groups in with it but it doesn’t make Gorgo or the other monsters any stronger. So he’s for beginners.

now about Drull. hmmmmm? he’s deadly in the later evolutions but for the moments in lv.1 and 2, he’s weak. but unlock zafreeti and that’s another story. once drull is matched with 4 zafreetis watch him pillage anyones yard easily. add a few daves and bam, the only thing stopping it is the heavy traps.

finally fomor. well hes extremely weak before level 3 so you have to put up with a pile of garbage in your cage for a while. then evolve him to level 3 and you are rewarded with a flying, rapidfire, constant putty rage frog that is deadly and avoids all walls and traps and other champions. you pretty much need to have a really good base to withstand a fomor attack with like 40 banditos in the back.

  139. kenneth

    July 29, 2011 at 11:08 am

if you notice when attacking you cannot send monsters too close to buildings so if you put blocks around your base then the attacker will have to attack form further away-it works

    THE BEST BASE

i want to share with you what the best base is. the golden rule: protect all the important buildings and use the useless buildings as a shield or lure for monsters without a specific target.

now, what are useless buildings? hatcheries, wild m baiter, yard planner, academies, map room, and flinger. Use them as shields or baits for the monsters to go to and then die.

what is the most effective base you can build without loads of shiny? one word: mazing. be creative. learn from the kozu tribe. they have excellent mazing. when you maze, 3 good things happen. first, monsters have a harder time getting to your important buildings but you can crush them easier. second, you can protect your lasers and cannons by making an elaborate maze so even the strongest monster DAVE will die at your lasers and cannons. third you delay the deadly 10 million putty rage. the monsters have to make it through your corriders and hopefully you wasted all the time and if you didn’t, place a monster bunker to delay them further. my point is, mazing works best.

ps. if you don’t know if your maze is gonna work, use the monster baiter to find out.

pss. the higher level the block, the more more blocks a monster is willing to pass before biting a hole though a monster without a specific target will destroy a chain of buildings and then will still go the given number of blocks.

    COMBOS

there are many monster combos in BYM you will face as you level up.

The first, pokey and octo ooze. do not underestimate them. the pokey will destroy practically everything and can only be stopped by the laser whose attention should be held at the octo oozes. since the lasers range is so small, the octos only have to buy it for a few seconds before the pokeys are out of danger. later replace pokey with bandito

the second more expierenced combo is crabbatron/ ichi with project X. the crabbatron will actually kill all the towers and the project X will destroy more powerful towers. key take out laser.

the last two combos are super deadly. the DAVE zafreeti, and the PPX.

the dave zafreeti combo is very powerful since the DAVEs health is constantly replenished by the zaf. to overcome it, there are only 3 ways. Use Eyera monster bunker. Heavy traps. Or DRULL. otherwise your base is toast. NOTE you will not face this combo until you are level 34+. don’t worry.

PPX. now what does it stand for? Puttyraged project X. YES. it kills anything and everything. 20 project X splattered with 10 million rage hurts. A LOT. it can send your gorgo back in its cage in a matter of seconds. It can destroy your yard in less than a min. since nothing can stand against it for more than 4 seconds. Except you can maze your yard. and fill your monster bunkers to delay them. HINT a pokey dies as fast as an ichi when facing a project X so use pokeys. NOTE will not face until level 40+.

i think the best way to build a good base is to build nd upgrade every possible building tower or block so later on, uyou kind of get a jump-start on a lot of things

  156. rion

    September 11, 2011 at 5:59 am

if your attacking, u should try making 3 of every minor monsters(stops at crabatron)so different will attack different towers.for your base layout, u should put your town hall, resource towers, storage silos, and major defensive towers (lasers and teslas) inside your walls and other buildings outside of your walls. A decent idea is to leave a blind spot and put a LOT of booby traps there.

  157. That1Guy

    September 14, 2011 at 12:02 am

    Backyard home security.

I run into alot of people relying on huge walls to protect important parts of their yard. Wich is the obvious thing to do. The only problem is 1 eye-ra can efectively remove an insane chunck of a wall. This is easily avoided by stratigically placing single segements of wall away from you base. Acting as bait for any mischievious eye-ra trying to clear a path..(recomend these peices be with in range of at least 1 tower) It’s an easy and cheap sollution that im surpised not many people use.

Also, do NOT create long walls. Even if they are 3 or 4 segments thick. This will allow players to pick an area and burrow through where THEY like. Put weak spots or even gaps in your walls. The attackers monsters will try to save time by walking around. Doing no damage while they do so, and allowing YOU to choose where you will be attacked. Rather then the other player.

Hope this helps you understand how you would like to build your base.

    September 14, 2011 at 9:04 am

There are a lot of horrible tips on here. Look up PokeySlayers guide on the Kixeye forums about building bases strategies like silo death traps and townhall death traps to curved walls never ending chains of useless buidlings monster pathing. These suggestions that you guys make i bet you i could take your bases in fail swoop with pokeys. Use dave/zafreeti mix or crabs/invisibrains/zafreetis.. zafreeti is key. catapult their adt and bait their bunkers with eye ras. put daves with rockets and an eye-ra in your bunkers. just a few tips.

  159. kanexx james priv

the first point is you shuld put all the main things like level 10 pebble shinner etc. near your town hall.and cover your town hall with one layer of black dimond walls.u should put all the things like hacthry map room outside so that the enimies who would be having monsters whos favorait target is anything will first try to finish those things. till the time they would be distroying those object yout defence towers will finish them off. for those who are macking chapionns cage remember guys you should hatch gorgo
it is the best one .your may know former is waste and drull is well but you may not know that a level 5 gorgo can easiely beat a level 6 drull.one time i made one more id for plaing backyard monsters.i hatched drull then i juiced my level 6 drull for a gorgo!!!!!.And now i play with my oun id and i have a level 5 gorgo.its a wild beast i can easily beat two yards.the point which peole usually think about is they think that former should be good as it flyes but yet if you send a drull a drull will die in his yard but a gorgo has a great amount of healthso he can easiely survive for even 10 minuts in a level 6 formers yard after the attack is only for 5 to 6 minuts.

a great trick for biggeners mind plzzu can hatch a champion in a minute if you follow this
    .
    .
    .
when you start playing first take your town hall to leavel four with sines.then like backyard monsters you will get 50 shines the u must be having about 395 shines left go to building and and click on build champions cage with shines they will ask for 391 shines and u have 395(aprox.)use them and hatch your gorgo~!!!!!!!!.

When you have a gap in the piles of blocks build a booby trap in the gap.Remember to hatch gorgo.Do you know that you can buy buff when your gorgo is lv 6?Then gorgo will beat fomor.

defending the backyard for me doesnt matter anymore no matter how strong that is only i can say is i can beat it up even you have level 6 drul or level 6 gorgo . i prefer fomor. one best strategy in game to make succesful in attacking any backyards. well regarding about enemy champions just feed it with some pokeys then you will win the game. and be patient even it takes 1 to attacks without using healer and not using dave and not using brains. first wave to first to destroy is all defensive buildings you can use ichis and some pokeys then use fomor. crabatron is fine too. i wont tel how to do it. 2nd attack is you can now use pokwys and finks. then fomor. coz in first wave all defensive buildings are already damaged so 2nd attack is to totally destroy the remaining buildings. and regarding about the enemy monsters i dont care. he wont hurt my fomor and finks even my first attack ichis he canthurt it just use pokeys for the champion. well this will help all people not all knows about this strategy. i hope i dont violate by tellign this to this site.

I have my yard arranged in a square-ish shape. I have towers placed so that every aspect of my yard is covered by at least two different defense towers. Everything is surrounded by walls, which so far I have upgraded to stone, and my town hall is surrounded by another section of walls upgraded to granite. My town hall is near the middle of my yard and is the most defended place in my yard. 8 tower ranges overlap there. Using a monster baiter is a great way to test your defenses: It doesn’t really matter what monsters you use, just use a lot of them or a mixture.
When I attack, I prefer to use the monsters with a higher health rather than attack: Octo-oozes, Ichis, and Crabatrons are my go-to monsters.

      What?

    November 9, 2011 at 11:10 pm

I’ve actually found that the best strategy is defense in depth. My main base (not outposts) has evolved over time, with me putting everything in arbitrarily. It’s essentially a chaos of buildings with my town hall (walled) in the center. I have some of my level 5-6-7 towers walled, and i’ve used up all my booby traps. the advantages to this strategy is that i have overlapping fields of fire, and, as monsters automatically attack the nearest building, only a brute-force, overwhelmingly powerful attack can open up a corridor to the town hall. Also, all of my buildings that can be are fortified. My hatcheries and monster lab and housings, etc, expendable buidings are on the edges, with TH and silos in the center. A GREAT tip that i’ve found is that your monster bunkers should be on the edges, as they expend their attack quickly. another is that Drull is best for defense, and, indeed, at lvl 6, the attack only really has a chance until Drull gets there.

Wall your th and silos because you will loose 5% of total amount of resources for TH destroyed and 4% PER silo destroyed!!!!!!

I tend to use 20 bandito and 3 zafreeti. The zafreeti can keep them alive thorughout the whole battle and are almost never killed. Therefore you can destroy an entire base in one run. I have been using this strategy since I unlocked zafreeti and it hasn’t failed me yet. My bas is set up with the town hall in the middle, surrounded by four highest level storage silos. Then I have six of each resource gatherer, and all of them constantly being upgraded. This way it takes a long time to get to my town hall and resources, because they are surrounded by gold walls and every defense towers available. Due to this I haven’t been attacked severely in over a month. This took a long time to perfect, and a yard planner helps greatly. If you have buildings like the monster juicer and hatcheries, but them as distractions to the attackers so they have longer to be shot at by towers. When choosing your champion monster, it is important to take in your strategy type. Drull is commonly thought of a good monster for attcking because it deals large amounts of damage; but it has low amounts of health, so it is only good with zafreetis to back it up. Gorgo is able to take a lot of damage, so it used for defense; but if you use it to distract towers while attacking, your other monsters can wreak havoc. Formor can be used equally as well for defense and offense. Master these strategies to dominate this game.

  186. dexter

    January 16, 2012 at 12:56 pm

the best strategy in the backyard monsters is to destroy wild monsters townhall until it had reached its tonwhall at level 7,then do not destroy the town hall, destroy only the silos and harvesters, you can collect more than a million resources in each wild monster base, then attack it over and over again when it repaired its base.you can master the attacking technique when you attacked them many times.the secret of a strong base is the aerial defense, without a zafreeti healing the monsters, the attack is a waste.master the technique in aerial defense, put yor aerial defense in the heart of your base. The first thing that your enemy will do is to destroy your aerial defense by catapulting resources into your aerial defense. So place your aerial defense beside your silos,if your enemy tries to destroy your aerial defense,he will also destroy your silos!do not fortify your silos, only your townhall!

    December 14, 2012 at 5:43 am

With regards to champions, which champion is the best? It was a tough decision for me but I finally decided that the best champion would have to be Formor. Drull may appear to be an excellent choice as he is abnormally strong in his first evolutions. His stats begin to plateau once you reach level four and he becomes very weak against high level resource outposts. Gorgo is generally not a choice of champion. He is extremely ineffective in attack but excellent when defending your base. I don’t suggest Gorgo as a starting champion but his stats are phenomenal enough to be in your arsenal. Fact is in a 1v1 a Lv.6 Gorgo can destroy a Lv.6 Drull everytime. In fact Forgo’s defensive capabilities are so strong that the most efficient way to kill a level 6 Gorgo is by sending 3 level 2 Zafreeti’s and 5 level5 DAVES. Formor is unique because he doesn’t stand out as beinga significant champion: he has the lowest attack damage(but the highest per second) and the lowest health. However his ability to fly and to buff monsters is what seperates him. Only select towers can hit him meaning he normally never gets more hits the 100 there is air defense towers you can catapult destroy them prior to the attack. Formor is also quick to heal and almost never takes damage. At level 1 and 2 he is a ground based champion. Making him seem to most audiences as a liability but Formor is by far the smartest attack championin the game. As a support champion he will perform strategic goals very effectively. For example when I use my itchies to attack a defense tower, Formor realizes that in orderto the itches to kill the tower smoothly they need a breach in the wall. Formor will turn and snipe a breach in the wall and turn help new monsters. Bit the most effective ability is buff. When sending a wave off monsters against an enemy Former provides buff to all monster within 3/4 yards length(pretty big). As you upgrade Formor the buff you receive will be greater This buff combined within all of your attacking monsters outmatches any champion on its own. Former is a team player focusing on unity in order to defeat the enemy and therefore he is the champion of choice.

Unlocking the Era of Online Casinos_ Convenience, Diversity, and Growing Popularity

Gambling has always been a part of human life. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, casinos began to develop in the post-Soviet countries. Initially, they were located in basement-type rooms. Later, elite establishments for the middle and affluent class arose. With the introduction of restrictions in the gambling

business, the popularity of online casinos has increased rapidly. Such Internet resources provide users with a lot of opportunities, which will be discussed later.

Reasons For Popularity

The list of advantages of online casinos over offline establishments is huge. Let’s name the most important advantages:

  • Anonymity;
  • A wide range of games;
  • Availability of bonuses and promotions;
  • Efficiency, convenience of depositing/withdrawing funds;
  • The opportunity to open a demo account and practice in a demo game.

Registration at the online casino takes a few minutes. By specifying the contact details (sometimes it is required to send a screenshot of the passport), the client gets access to the functionality of the site. He does not need to get to the land-based casino, wait for it to open, or take care of his appearance. Just log into the application (on the website), choose the game you like, and plunge into it with your head, experiencing similar emotions as in a regular casino.

Bonuses and Promotions

In pursuit of a client, companies give virtual users several bonuses. These can be:

an increase in winnings under certain conditions;

  • First deposit bonus;
  • Bonus for re-replenishment of the account;
  • The initial amount to the account;
  • Cashback;
  • Free spins, etc.

It is worth noting the online casino registration bonus, This is one of the simplest bonuses that are awarded for registration on the online casino website. Also, many online casinos arrange promotions timed to coincide with weekends or holidays. Most of them consist in accruing bonuses and increasing the amount of replenishment of the account. The available promotions can be found in the user’s account. Some companies send relevant notifications to the customer’s email and mobile number.

A Large Variety of Games

Online casinos have the same games as regular establishments. As an example, we can give:

  • Roulette;
  • Blackjack;
  • The wheel of fortune;
  • Slot machines.

The accessible interface makes the game process as accessible and comfortable as possible. You can familiarize yourself with the rules of the game on the websites, and if you have any questions, the support service will promptly answer them.

The Possibility of a Demo Game

If you are in doubt about whether it is worth playing at an online casino, or you want to work out one of the strategies, then many companies introduce the demo game option. It is no different from the standard game, with the only caveat that virtual money is at stake. After practicing and mastering the rules, the client decides whether it is advisable to use his financial resources for gambling.

Saving Time

Online casinos are a great alternative to offline establishments. They save time, and access to them is provided from anywhere in the world. To play, it is enough to have a mobile phone (computer, laptop, etc.). Your account and the functionality of the site open after you enter your username and password. It takes a few seconds. After completing a simple set of operations, the online casino client can play without time limits. You can also try to play on different sites of specific different countries, you don’t have to go anywhere. For example, why not try a Greek online casino, to diversify your experience?

Ways to Deposit/Withdraw Funds

Companies offer many options for adding funds to your account, in particular:

  • With a VISA/MasterCard bank card;
  • In cash via the payment terminal;
  • Using various online wallets, etc.

Some online casinos have started accepting cryptocurrency. Withdrawal of funds is usually carried out in the same way as for replenishment.

In conclusion, online casinos are much more convenient, more functional, and more accessible than regular establishments. Their popularity continues to grow along with the development of computer technology. The number of users of such Internet portals is already several million and is gradually increasing.
