8 Classic Point and Click Adventure Games to Play for Free

lslWe all love free games, don’t we? And I truly hope you still love games from a genre that is considered dead, but was up and kicking and delivering high quality products in the early 90s the point and click adventure genre! I have for you eight titles to play for free (kind of few-ish, I know, but the true classics from Sierra and LucasArts, even though offered for free on some websites, are probably still illegal to share, so I won’t risk putting you or me in trouble).

Either way, just a little while after me posting the 14 Top Racing Games to Play for FREE article, I’m following it up with this one, focused on free point and click adventure titles, to prove that we can still have a hell of a time playing games that don’t cost a penny. Enjoy and don’t forget to post a comment below if you know more titles!

1. The Adventures of Fatman we now have the glorious Dark Knight and special effects, but back in the days we didn’t have much except for a solid sense of humor. The Adventures of Fatman are a Batman parody and you’ll certainly enjoy playing with the ’superhero’! So grab the game for free here.

2. The Adventures of Maddog Williams in the Dungeons of Duridian yes, back in the days, adventure games used to have obscenely long names, just for the sake of some extra fun. The Adventures of Maddog Williams proves that even games with long names can be of high quality. And extremely fun. Classic point and click action, for free right here!

3. Beavis and Butthead in Virtual Stupidity this is not really a top adventure game and certainly not a title to be considered a classic, but since it’s a game that features two of the most iconic characters of the 90s and depicts the stupid reality of the times, it’s worth a try. And since it’s free, I doubt anyone will complain!

4. Beneath a Steel Sky a game I completely loved, even though it’s far from being one of the easier titles in the genre. However, Beneath a Steel Sky is a must play for sci fi fans and those who are up for a challenge. Check it out for yourselves!

5. Drascula: The Vampire Strikes Back opposed to the previous game, this one is easy to play and it features tons of solid humor. The graphics will remind you of another classic title The Day of the Tentacle and it will be about as fun to play! With the mention that Drascula is free to play!

6. Flight of The Amazon Queen another classic title I loved playing back in the days and I’m sure you’ll find it extremely entertaining, too. It is witty and smart, and if you like(d) Indiana Jones or similar films, you’ll absolutely love this game. Which can be grabbed for free here.

7. Lure of the Temptress another high quality adventure created by the same guys behind Beneath a Steel Sky, another must play title which introduced some revolutionary concepts back then, like the use of helper characters. Download and play it and see what I mean!

8. Police Quest another classic, this time from Sierra. It became a successful series, but it’s always the first title which you remember. And in our case, the only one which can be grabbed for free. So if you’re up for some point and click investigations, download it now!

Hopefully, even though shorter that I would’ve liked it to be, this list of free to play point and click adventure games will keep you busy for a while and offer you an alternative for these tough economic times we’re all going through. Enjoy!

Please note: If you consider than any of these games shouldnt be listed here (i.e. are not free for download) please contact us to remove them.
